Meet Mrs. MannAugust 2019
Dear Parents, Welcome to a new school year at Goshen Elementary. My name is Pamela Mann and I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher in second grade this year. I hope that you and your family have had a great summer and are ready for an exciting school year. I look forward to working with you and your child to provide a rewarding educational experience. For those of you who do not know me, I am a native of Louisville and enjoy the out-of-doors and spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I have two grown sons. We live in Oldham County and our sons were also Goshen Gators...many years ago. On the professional side, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Kentucky University. I am certified to teach grades K through 8. I earned my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Louisville where I also completed my Rank 1 Certification (30 graduate hours above my Master’s Degree.) I taught one year in central Indiana, taught four-year-olds for several years in Kentucky, and have taught for 25 years at Goshen Elementary. Just as I know you do, I hold high academic and behavioral expectations for each child. I believe a child’s success in school comes from teachers and parents communicating and working together. I will be communicating with you through our classroom website to keep you updated on what your child is learning in the classroom. Your child will also have an agenda / planner that will be used for daily communication between school to home and home to school. We will have an opportunity to get acquainted on Monday, August 12 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. This is a wonderful time for you and your child to take a few minutes to visit our classroom, meet me and the other students. Our classroom is room #205 in the orange area. Please feel free to bring classroom supplies that evening so those backpacks will be a little lighter on the first day of school. If you ordered an Edukit, it will be delivered to our classroom and will be there for you when you arrive. We will have a more formal Parent Night after the school year gets underway. I look forward to seeing you and your child soon. Sincerely, Pam Mann Pam Mann 502-228-0101 ext 205 [email protected] |
